FERRETTE AND THE ALSATIAN JURA

This Alsatian part of the Jura celebrates Christmas with its Saint Nicholas Fair, its Christmas market and its concerts. Hightlight on December 31st will be the candlelight walk up to the ruins of the castle ending with a free glass of sparkling wine (crémant) served at midnight. There is a very special atmosphere in these histotical walls as well as in the small villages where the magic of old traditions still works and, when winter brings on its winter coat, the whole population meets on the Winkel sled run.
