The Enchanted Forest opens early December with the Saint-Nicolas parade, lively open-air show with more than 100 participants ("manalas" and chocolates will be distributed to all the children at the end of the show).

Many sports and cultural events will take place during this festive periode: a big skating rink in a forest setting, a snow sled track in a park in the town centre, concerts and shows. The Enchanted Forest in Altkirch offers a wonderful stroll in a natural medieval setting.

Another medieval setting is in Ferrette which organizes a torchlit walk on New Year's eve. On December 31st at 11pm, you are invited to follow a special trail, lit by lanterns and which will take you to the Ferrette castle. A very special atmosphere comes from this former stronghold where a huge bonfire is lit and where every guest will be given a warm welcome with a glass of "crémant". This is a unique way of celebrating the new year!

Do not miss the treasure hunts in Altkirch and Ferrette, many exhibitions, a fabric boutique as wall as guided tours of the Enchanted Forest (for groups and schools).
The discovery of the Enchanted Forest and the torchlit walk on New Year's eve are free and open to everyone!
