Altkirch and the Sundgau region

Altkirch comes alive with a host of events during the Enchanted Forest period: concerts, shows, street shows, an open-air skating rink and mapping.

The Sundgau Tourist Office adds to the Christmas enchantment by organising guided tours of the Enchanted Forest and a fabric shop.

And to welcome in the New Year, Ferrette and its castle provide a superb backdrop to an unusual New Year's Eve torchlight party!

The principle has remained the same for several years: from 10pm on 31 December, the Sundgau Tourist Office and the Town of Ferrette invite you to take part in a 3km walk around the castle. You will follow a signposted path into the heart of the medieval castle around the New Year's fire, where you can envoy a glass of Crémant with live music.

It is a unique way to celebrate the New Year while breathing the pure and invigorating air of the Jura's foothills!
